I just watched this again, I hadn’t seen it in quite some time and I remember catching it on the ABC Sunday Night movie at one point (this very much dates me). It’s a good flick:
The Heartbreak Kid is a 1972 dark romantic comedy film directed by Elaine May, written by Neil Simon, and starring Charles Grodin, Jeannie Berlin, and Cybill Shepherd.
Turns out even if you don’t have NetFlix you can watch the whole thing streaming online, it’s really worth it and beats the remake hands down.
